What is a zine?
A fanzine--or zine for short--is a magazine created by fans for fans about a certain interest!

What is the zine about?
Peas in a Pod will center around the shenanigans and everyday life of the DekuSquad during their Yuuei days! While the add-on will potentially have any wips/scrap ideas and scenes that the contributors might have that didn’t fit into the main zine!

Will this zine be physical or pdf?
Peas in a Pod will be Physical and PDF with a PDF add-on!

Will this be for-profit or charity?
Peas in a Pod will be Half For-Profit/Half Charity!

Will this zine be Safe for Work (SFW) or Not Safe for Work (NSFW)?
The zine will be entirely SFW!

Are ships allowed in this zine?
This zine will be purely gen! No explicit romantic relationships will be allowed but, implied romantic relationships or crushes are allowed to be mentioned!

Will there be merch?
Yes! There will merch! Hopefully, there will be both physical and digital merch for y'all to enjoy!

Is there an age requirement for this zine?
The age requirement will be 16 and up! However, if the zine ends up for-profit, minors will not be allowed to receive monetary compensation but will be given a pdf of the zine !

If the zine might be a for charity, what charities will you be looking into?
There isn’t a specific charity down as of yet! However, we’re thinking of a youth-based charity!

Contributor guidelines

We will be accepting 7 writers, 20-23 page artists, 1-3 comic artists, and 4-6 merch artists. You can find the guidelines for each application as well as expectations for each role below.

Writers
Application guidelines:
. .• You must include three samples of work, the combined total word count of which cannot exceed 7k.
There is no maximum or minimum word count per sample, but we would prefer to see at least one work at 2k.
. .ALL SAMPLES MUST BE SFW
NSFW samples will result in immediate disqualification and your application will be deleted.
. .• At least one sample must feature a Dekusquad member (Midoriya, Uraraka, Iida, Todoroki, and/or Asui)
. .• A portfolio is optional but highly recommended
. .• Writer applicants will be judged based on characterization, flow, grammar, syntax, and overall story engagement

If you are accepted as a contributor, you will be expected to:
. . •Create at least one fic between 1.5k and 2k words that includes at least two main squad members (Midoriya, Uraraka, Iida, Todoroki, and/or Asui), with the option to potentially write a second 2.5k word fic for our AU centric add-on.

Page Artists
Application guidelines:
. .• You must include three samples of work.
. .ALL SAMPLES MUST BE SFW
NSFW samples will result in the disqualification of your application.
. .• Portfolios are required.
. .• All samples must be finished pieces. No sketches.
. .• At least one sample must include a full background.
This does not have to be a complex scene but should show your ability to portray characters in environments. Pattern and abstract backgrounds do not count.
. .• At least one sample must include a BNHA character.
It does not have to be a Dekusquad member, but it is highly recommended
. .•You will be judged on your grasp of anatomy, composition, and colour usage/values

If you are accepted as a contributor, you will be expected to:
. . •Create at least one full page art piece depicting at least two of the main squad members (Midoriya, Uraraka, Iida, Todoroki, and/or Asui) with the option to potentially create a spread along with the opportunity to create a second piece for our AU centric PDF add-on.
. . • Our cover artists for both the main zine and PDF add-on will be chosen after contributors have been accepted into the server.

Comic Artists
Application guidelines:
. .• You must include three samples of work.
. .ALL SAMPLES MUST BE SFW
NSFW samples will result in the disqualification of your application.
. .• Portfolios are required.
. .• All samples must be finished pieces. No sketches.
. .• At least one sample must be a finished comic page.
It does not have to be overly complex, but we would like to be able to judge your ability to layout a comic page and tell a story through images and dialogue.
. .• At least one sample must include a full background.
This does not have to be a complex scene but should show your ability to portray characters in environments. Pattern and abstract backgrounds do not count.
. .• At least one sample must include a BNHA character.
It does not have to be a Dekusquad member, but it is highly recommended
. .•You will be judged on your grasp of anatomy, composition, colours, and story telling abilities

If you are accepted as a contributor, you will be expected to:
. . •Create at least one full color comic between 3 and 5 pages with the option to potentially create a second comic for our AU centric PDF add-on.

Merch Artists
Application guidelines:
. .• You must include three samples of work.
. .ALL SAMPLES MUST BE SFW.
NSFW samples will result in the disqualification of your application.
. .• Portfolios are required.
. .• All samples must be finished pieces. No sketches.
. .• Please provide relevant samples for the type of merch you would most like to make.
Example: If you would like to design a charm the most, provide charm design samples, or art in the style you would use for a charm.
. .• At least one sample must include a BNHA character.
It does not have to be a Dekusquad member, but it is highly recommended
. .• You will be judged on your grasp of anatomy, colour, and use of clean/compact composition.

If you are accepted as a contributor, you will be expected to:
